How do I broadcast from my phone?

1. First of all you need to install our application on your phone. You can download it here or by pointing you mobile browser to http://m.bambuser.com.
2. Start the application and review the configuration options at Options » Settings.
3. Enter your username and password at Options » Settings » Credentials.
4. Start the broadcast by choosing Options » Connect.

If your phone has a qr-barcode scanner; you can use our qr-code to goto http://m.bambuser.com

How do I geotag my videos

I get very low framerate and / or the audio is breaking up, can I improve the flow?

- Yes, most likely you can. The flow of the stream much depends on the speed of the connection to the internet. In order to get a better flow, You can try to adjust your settings as follows;

1. Open the Bambuser application on your device.
2. Choose Options » Settings.
3. Scroll down to Video size.
   We suggest you use no more than 320x240 pixels when having decent 3G coverage.
   If the broadcast application indicates a speed of 20000 bytes/s or less you might want to go down to 176x144 or lower.
   Press OK.

4. Also, try adjusting the Video quality slider. As a general rule we suggest you set it somewhere in the low-to-mid range.

How much does this cost?

- Our base service is free to consumers and non profit organisations. When broadcasting over the GSM network, your operator might charge you for costs associated with data transfer. We recommend you to get a flat rate contract with your operator. Our broadcasting application also support Wi-Fi based access, which might be a great alternative to the GSM network in some cases, if your phone has Wi-Fi support.

Can I view Bambuser-clips on my cell?

- Hold on! We're constantly working to improve Bambuser.com and our demon developers have plenty of features in the pipeline. I want to delete my archived broadcast! Can I do that?

- Sure, just click on the archived broadcast that you wish to delete. The "delete this video" option appears below the player. Click it and go trough the confirm dialog to remove the file.

You can also control the archiving behaviour in advance. Under Options » Settings in the Bambuser application on your phone, you can choose whether or not to archive the broadcast you are about to do.

Why isn't the chat messages showing up in my cell phone?

- When you are broadcasting a chat window appears in your channel, from where your viewers can post comments to your cellphone screen . However, if you downloaded the application earlier than December 2007, you need to re-install the application to get this feature.

(Version 1.0 rev 73 and later are capable of recieving chat messages)

My phone says Certificate error! when I try to install the application, what to do?

- Your phone might be set up to decline
non Symbian Signed applications by default. To change this behavior, follow along with this slideshow -»

How do I embed my videos?

1. Under your video there is a embed-code. While on your main-page you get the channel-embed but if your on a archived video the embed will be a direct-embed to that archived video.
2. Copy the code and place on your site.
